Would you bet on yourself, dear reader? At the core the psych matters.

If you understand life and its art of being as a means to delivering value, you must realize that it all starts and ends with yourself.
It is this thinking of: The better I understand myself, the better I will be able to understand others. The closer I get to myself, the closer I will get to others. The more I believe in myself, the more I will believe in others. It is as simple as that.
And how can you do that? Which tools, skills and theories would you have to apply?
First of all, you have to be willing to understand that this is not only about your professional skillset, but also very much about nourishing your body, mind and spirit to provide yourself with certain long-lasting value. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle would then be the obvious and essential step. Paradoxically, herein many ambitious entrepreneurs, thinkers and top managers fail. Often, they achieve material success and build prosperous companies, yet their physical constitution degenerates to the point where they are no longer able to lead a quality life.
Maybe you know those stories or maybe you even catch yourself while reading the following lines:
People troubled from e.g. exhaustion, depression, eating disorders, insomnia, or cardiovascular diseases have now become the standard rather than the exception. All of those symptoms are strongly associated with parameters of physical and mental health (Nature, 2009). A fact which is well known for a long time.
Stress developed into a normal, not abnormal state. Maybe this is a pitfall of an achievement-oriented society. Maybe it is simply up to each and every one of us to acknowledge that we have to recharge our batteries from time to time.
The most important part of your business is you. The key ingredient to your success is you. Even the most ingenious ship loses its sense without a captain.
How do you notice when it is about time to recharge your batteries and how do you approach it?
As a self-taught entrepreneur you are driven and hungry to learn a large variety of things from scratch at an insane pace. You need to prove yourself, move others and most importantly always believe in yourself.
Would you bet on yourself? Would you bet on yourself even higher if your batteries were full?
When you bet on yourself, you give yourself the chance to win big.
Will you always win when you bet on yourself? Of course not. I wish I could say otherwise, but taking a risk is just that - a risk. However, when you know yourself well, when you follow your heart, when you take care of yourself to bet high on yourself, you are opening yourself up to playing a bigger game. You are allowing yourself to live in a world where you don’t have to constantly hedge your health, your relationships, your decisions or your bets.
Hence, personal growth and its close relative personal well-being go hand in hand when it comes to navigating the wind of change. When the wind of change is blowing, you must desire to know yourself well and listen to your needs while sailing constantly and consistently into the direction of your dreams.
I wish you a wonderful journey!
